Who is Kathy Cochran?
Kathy Cochran is an active trial lawyer with 29 years of litigation experience. She is a co-founder of the Seattle law firm of Wilson Smith Cochran Dickerson. Her practice has focused on medical malpractice and pharmaceutical litigation. She has recently been elected as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Is this business appropriate for my project?
If we are not the right company for your project, we’ll be the first to tell you. We are very selective and know our limits. However, Cochran Productions can help you identify and develop themes, and will provide a large variety of services, including video editing, 2D animation, design of charts, anatomical and other illustrations, photo retouching and optimization, to support that theme.
If you are a lawyer and need to bring your message home to a trial judge or jury, chances are we can probably point you in the right direction.
What will my project cost?
Each project is unique, and therefore we must consult in depth with you to understand the depth and scope of the project, the modalities that will work best, and the deadlines. Once that occurs, we will provide an estimate. As the project proceeds, we will keep you fully informed so that you can re-direct, limit, or expand the project as may be required to fit your budget.
We will issue statements monthly and request payment within thirty days. Our statements will describe the service provided in detail, broken down in tenths of an hour. We will bill all out-of-pocket costs without a mark-up and will advise you of any significant costs in advance. If we employ an outside vendor, we will direct their bills directly to you without a mark-up or referral fee.
How do I know I’ll like the product?
Well, you never know until you try us! However, we’ll be glad to provide references so that you can decide for yourself whether this is the company for you.
How much time will I have to spend myself?
One of the advantages of working with Cochran Productions is that the owner/designer is a lawyer with vast experience in the courtroom. Hence, little of your time will be required, though you are of course welcome to participate to your heart’s desire to assure you get what you want. However, we know court rules, we know how to do thorough research, to analyze depositions and records, and can do most things a good trial lawyer could do - without charging a separate legal fee. You get two experts for the price of one, and can therefore use your own talent on other aspects of your case.
